Room Heist guide
How to Play Room Heist
Room Heist is a multiplayer-only game of team claims. Find long words before the other team does, but keep the board open for every trace.
Play Room HeistJoin the heist
- Create or join a multiplayer room with at least 2 players, then choose Room Heist.
- Players are assigned across two teams, Sun and Moon, on one shared 4×4 board and 2-minute clock.
- Teams share their score. There is no solo version of this mode.
Claim long words
Trace a valid word with the normal adjacent-tile rules, but only words of 6 or more letters can be claimed; shorter otherwise valid traces are ineligible and rejected. The first team to submit a particular eligible word owns that claim and receives its normal length-squared points.
A claimed word is exclusive between teams: another submission of it is rejected, whether it comes from the same team or the other team. The tiles are not locked, so later traces may still use them in other words.
When the round ends
The round ends when the shared 2-minute timer reaches zero. The host can also end it early. The team with the higher claimed-word score wins the room.
