Random Rush guide
How to Play Random Rush
Random Rush is a rotation, not one fixed board: it deals a fresh mix of eligible Wordrush games, one round at a time, until you pause or end the rush.
Play Random RushStart a solo rush
- The home screen’s Random Rush card picks one eligible game for the next round. Surprise me starts that pick; the shuffle button previews a different one first.
- Each round keeps the normal trace-and-submit loop but uses the selected game’s board size, clock, minimum length, and rule.
- When a round ends, the next one is queued automatically. Choose End Rush on the results screen when you are done, or Pause to hold the rotation.
What can appear
The pool is context-aware. A solo rush only draws games that work solo, so multiplayer-only experiences such as Co-op and Room Heist never appear. It also skips one-off workflows that need their own setup or handoff, such as Daily Rush, Echo Race, Word Relay, Custom Game, and Party Mode.
The optional 18+ dictionary is left out of a solo rush because solo play has no age/consent step.
Random Rush in a room
A multiplayer room can run Random Rush too. While the room is active, the host starts it from the same Random Rush card. The room rotates its own pool, avoids repeating the previous mode, and only includes games that fit the number of connected players, so a format like Room Heist needs at least two.
Before the run begins, the host answers a one-time choice about the 18+ dictionary: Keep it clean uses the standard pool, while Include 18+ dictionary makes adult rounds eligible for that run. The host decides, and the dictionary stays off unless they opt in.
Pausing and stopping
A rush keeps rotating through its pool until it is paused or ended. In solo play, Pause holds the run before the next round, and End Rush stops the rotation and returns you to normal play. You can choose End Rush from the results screen between rounds or with the End Rush control during a live board.
In a multiplayer room, the host can Pause the rotation between rounds. To finish the run, the host uses the existing Stop playing results action, which returns everyone to the persistent room. The room has no live-board End Rush control.
