How to Play Custom Game
Custom Game is a local builder for shaping one WordRush round: start from a style, then set the grid, minimum word length, and clock.
Play Custom GameStart from a style
Pick a starting vibe to set the rule for the round, then adjust the numbers if you want:
- Classic: free play with no special rule.
- Word Stretch: long words only; it raises the minimum to 5 letters.
- Sudden Death: one rejected non-duplicate word ends the round.
- Race to 500: first to 500 points.
- Dirty Mode: opt-in 18+ adult dictionary.
Set the board and clock
- Shortest word: 3, 4, 5, or 6 letters.
- Letter grid: 4×4, 5×5, 6×6, or 8×8.
- Clock: 0:30, 1:00, 2:00, or 3:00.
The summary line shows the exact round, for example 3+ letters · 4×4 · 2:00. The default is a Classic-style 4×4 board with a 3-letter minimum and 2 minutes.
When the round ends
A normal custom round ends when the clock reaches zero, or you can choose End Round early. A Race to 500 round finishes the moment the 500-point target is reached, and a Sudden Death round ends on a rejected non-duplicate word.
